Business Email Compromise Threats Soar Past Phishing Risks
The risk of business email compromise (BEC) is increasing annually and is estimated to be twice as severe as the overall threat of phishing, according to an Osterman Research/IronScales survey of 249 U.S.-based IT and security professionals.
In the past 12 months, more than 93% of organizations encountered one or multiple forms of BEC attacks, while 62% were targeted by three or more variants during that time period.

The survey revealed that among the most prevalent forms of BEC attacks are fraudulent invoicing, data theft and account takeover (ATO).

Within the last year, around 20% of organizations fell victim to one or more of these BEC attack types, while 66% encountered three or more variations. Data theft attacks were the most frequent type of BEC attack.

The sheer volume of phishing emails sent in 2022 spiked by a jaw-dropping 569% according to a just-released analysis.

After sifting through a global network of data from 35 million users, using artificial and machine learning analysis, Cofense researchers released their latest State of Email Security Report that details the astronomical rise of email phishing as a tactic among threat actors in 2022.

How ChatGPT Will Transform Marketing
Marketing departments that do not embrace AI such as ChatGPT will find themselves at a disadvantage. But ultimately, although people can use generative AI, ChatGPT cannot run a business, says Dominic Allon
It is clear that AI, whether that's ChatGPT, or new tools such as Google's Bard, which are both being released step by step, is going to change the world. And especially sales and marketing. Just as the printing press, newspaper press, and email have done. But none of these tools directly impacted humanity's ability to nurture a relationship, make better sales or business decisions, or support a friend or colleague through a challenging moment.

So, how will ChatGPT affect how businesses conduct customer relations specifically?

Optimize Your Email Deliverability: Content
In this blog series, I'm tackling email deliverability broken up into three areas-your audience, content, and the tech stuff. Follow along each month and optimize your email deliverability from the ground up.
Last month I covered how to optimize your email deliverability by carefully building your audience and segmenting your lists - check it out.

This month, I'm back with the next part of Email Deliverability - your content: the words, images, format - everything you are putting in the email that you are hoping your audience receives and reads.

Email Deliverability

Email deliverability refers to the ability of an email to reach its intended recipient's inbox without being blocked or marked as spam.

Your ultimate goal should be to land in the recipient's inbox - not the promotions tab or worse yet - spam. Emails that go to the promotions or other tab typically have 50% less opens than messages that land in the inbox or primary tab.

Generative AI is all the craze, mostly because of OpenAI's ChatGPT and their freemium go-to-market motion, which made them go viral for being the fastest ever application to reach 100 million users.

  • Facebook OPT
  • Hugging
  • Face Bloom
  • Cohere
  • Anthropic
  • AI-12
  • GPT-NEOX
  • GPT-J
  • AI21
  • Alibaba
  • Yandex Etc.

.. but these models are just the underlying data scienc-ey stuff.

How Do We Hold Ourselves and Others Accountable By Kevin McCarthy

Self-accountability is one thing- Holding others accountable is something else! If we are holding ourselves accountable it means that we are taking responsibility for our actions and behaviors without blaming others. Beyond that, we are keeping promises, fulfilling obligations, tasks, and goals without excuses. It also means that if there is a challenge-we find a solution, and not try to blame someone else. Red on to learn 5 Tactics to hold the people around us accountable.
