Email Authentication: How SPF, DKIM and DMARC Work Together
Internet protocols for email authentication -- SPF, DKIM and DMARC -- coordinate defense against spammers, phishing and other spoofed email problems.
Email has always had security problems, and unfortunately, simply encrypting message transfers between email servers is not enough to stop spammers and other senders of unwanted email. Phishing scams, spamming and email spoofing rely on techniques that forge messages to make them appear like they originate from a legitimate sender. The key to reducing unwanted and malicious email is to use techniques to validate that an email originated from an authorized sender and that the email itself was not modified in transit.

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), a protocol used to transmit email messages, was first published in 1982 without any concern about email security. The expectation was that security would eventually be addressed by some other mechanism. SMTP traffic between email servers can now be encrypted and authenticated using the TLS protocol.

Managing Change When Marketing Is Always Changing
This is a constantly changing field', I was told in my first marketing course
It was literally Marketing 101, and of the many lessons I learned in business school, this one has held the truest. You can prepare students for all kinds of business challenges, but the goal is to get them to think critically, not to equip them with specific tools. The tools change, but fluency in some of the key areas is crucial to navigating that.

All well and good from the perspective of young marketers, but one thing I did not learn in college was how to manage change. This took years of trial and error, understanding what can go wrong in implementing changes across such an incredible variety of unique problems.

Lead Generation: Being More Human
Sales outreach has become almost exclusively digitalized, as new software and process automation make lead generation efforts so much simpler.
We see fewer cold calls and more email and social media interactions with prospects. This shift in outreach and lead generation has also changed our traditional idea of the Buyer's Journey dramatically - for better or for worse. Although we have seen an increase in lead generation efforts, we are also seeing a decrease in personalization efforts, with some thinking that it is not necessary at all. Almost every step of the sales funnel can be automated to a certain degree, from adding prospects to the funnel, through a closed deal. This lack of human connection can be harmful, especially in the B2B landscape. Here are some benefits of keeping the human connection alive and why it's a fundamental part of the buyer's journey.

Sales Content Managers: Here's How To Diagnose & Repair Your Content Strategy
Content is one of the most critical components of your sales engagement strategy.
To ensure long-term content strategy success, it's best to periodically evaluate your team's content requirements and workflow alignment. As a sales content manager, it's strongly recommended to review your content strategy if you've been using the same sequences, templates, and snippets that you initially launched with.

Sales Leaders: You'Re Going About Rep Productivity All Wrong. Here's How To Fix It
Every good sales leader wants to empower and coach their team to become highly productive.
But most managers come from an individual contributor role and are given woefully inadequate training and support. If that weren't the case, we wouldn't see quota attainment hovering around 50% for so long. And the problem is only getting worse as budgets get squeezed and layoffs impact more people - good people who are trying hard, but don't have a clear plan for success. I've made nearly every mistake in the book, which is why I'm qualified to tell you that you're probably going about this productivity thing the wrong way. The good news? I've also learned a few tricks that can put you far ahead of the pack. So how do you know if you're on the wrong track? Look for the symptoms.

A collection of contributed columns written by industry experts in maturing software categories-Bill Skelly, the CEO of Causeway Solutions, shares insights on how humanized data analytics can be the key to reinforcing your CRM system.
We live in an unpredictable world. The stark realities of inflation, political entanglements, and ongoing global health crises create tremendous uncertainty. Facing a volatile economy, people and businesses seek more data to support decision-making, and, accordingly, many organizations have installed Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. CRM is valuable for understanding your customers' and prospects' buying habits and preferences. An effective CRM will integrate your marketing, sales, and customer service functions, helping your teams share critical information and work better together.
