Email Domains Without DMARC Enforcement Spoofed Nearly 4X As Often
As of January 2020, nearly 1 million (933,973) domains have published DMARC records - an increase of 70% compared to last year
"In addition, 80% of all inboxes worldwide do DMARC checks and enforce domain owners' policies - if domain owners have configured DMARC, a new Valimail report reveals.

However, just 13% of all DMARC records are configured with enforcement policies, demonstrating that interest in DMARC is increasing but DMARC expertise is not keeping pace..."

Fake News: 5 Marketing Myths That Are Holding You Back
Our beliefs have the ability to shape the decisions we make and can even affect how we see the world around us
"Belief is a powerful thing, but what if some of the things we believe are wrong? In this rapidly evolving digital world, there are certain marketing myths that could be holding you back.

Throughout history, there have been myths that have shaped our ability to experience new discoveries. If you believe the sun orbits the earth, you have to build a complicated system to make sense of the movements of the heavenly bodies. If you believe the earth is flat, you may not explore too far for fear of 'falling off.' Some myths may be harmless, like my son's unwillingness to wash his game socks during football season fearing it will break the winning streak. However, others may lead us to make decisions that are not in our best interests..."

How Effective Is Social Media For Lead Generation?
Social media is firmly entrenched as part of our everyday lives
"We get our news from social, interact with friends, find community events and the list goes on. Social is also a vital channel when it comes to interacting with brands and researching new products and services.

Who Uses Social Media?

Social media is used by consumers across generations. According to recent research by Emarketer, 90.4% of Millennials, 77.5% of Generation X, and 48.2% of Baby Boomers are active social media users. (source) Social media platforms also take up a large chunk of our daily lives. An average of 2 hours and 22 minutes are spent per day per person on social networks and messaging (Globalwebindex)..."

Making The Case For Case Studies: Why They're Important For Your Inbound Strateg
Think about a time you shopped for clothes online
"Because you couldn't virtually try on anything, you had to dig through customer reviews to see if the fit and material matched the description on the site. Seeing multiple five-star reviews probably made you feel more inclined to make a purchase. Browsing through one-star comments? Not so much.

When you're looking for a shirt online, you want real-consumer feedback before you bust out your wallet. These same principles apply to the prospects of B2B companies as well. However, they're looking for information about experiences with a product or service and how it helped eliminate someone's issue they faced within their job role..."

16 Of The Best Sales Techniques That Close More Deals (+ 4 That Fail)
Looking to sharpen your sales techniques?
"We encourage you to dive into inbound sales techniques if you want to see really positive results.

7 Keys To Customer Empathy: Building Relationships That Last
Many organizations operate around short-term and annual KPIs and goals, but fail to value the significant impact of retention and long-term relationships
"Although difficult (but not impossible) to measure, customer empathy is the key to building a brand and acquiring/keeping the best clients. Your sales strategy and training today needs to incorporate the steps you'll take to keep - and deepen - relationships.

Empathy is defined by Psychology Today as 'the visceral experience of another person's thoughts and feelings from his or her point of view, rather than from one's own.' In short, it's understanding what your prospect's role, needs, and motivators are before you dive into a well-rehearsed sales pitch..."

If Cold Calling Is Dead, Why Is The Topic So Hot?
Someone tried to suck me into a LinkedIn discussion on cold calling today
"The article declaring cold calling dead was written by a colleague I deeply respect, and I have no disagreement with the points in her article.

By the time another friend tried to bait me into diving into the discussion, it had been live for 18 hours, there were over 75 reactions and over 52 comments, with many very smart and dull people weighing in. Thankfully, I chose not to dive into this masturbatory debate..."

On CRM: From Salesforce To Zoho, Which Of These 10 CRMs Is Really Best For Your Business?
You're looking for a CRM system for your company. But you're not entirely sure what you want
"You are buried in choices. You read reports like this recent one from application marketplace 360Quadrants of the "best CRM software" and you're still not sure.

So let me help you clear things up. My company implements CRM software. In fact, we implement (full disclosure) some of the products - Salesforce, Zoho and Microsoft Dynamics - listed below. We love those products but the fact is I would also love to sell every one of the products listed below. We just don't have the bandwidth to do it all. Rest assured, if you're working with the right people and partners and are willing to make the investment, any one of the ten 'visionary leaders' CRM products listed on the 360Quadrants report below would be completely fine for your business..."

Being Truly Accountable
A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them - John Maxwell
"We all make mistakes; sadly, all too often that includes justifying why we did (or said) what we did. And to make us feel better, we self rationalize why we did it, and add 'why' and 'however' to what we're saying in hopes of lessening our error. Wrong!

Why is being accountable so difficult? Maybe because we don't want to look bad? Because we fear others may lose their appreciation for us? That we're unable to be vulnerable since relationships and maybe even job security could be impacted?..."

I'm Starting A Gang
A Girl Gang to be clear
"With March being the celebration of women in history month, I am experiencing an overwhelming increase in requests to speak at women's conferences and inside those organizations that have dedicated initiatives for women.

This makes me so happy because it demonstrates an opportunity in the workplace for women to bond and come together for a purpose. There is nothing that I love doing more than surrounding myself with other women who are encouraging of others, growth-minded, inspiring, and kind..."

Are You Prepared To Work Remotely?
"Don't just plan to work from home. Plan to connect from home with others for your mental wellbeing."
"This is a very important dialogue topic with the latest news happening much faster than I can type. So many of us have worked remotely and in the coming weeks, there will likely be a huge influx of people who will set up or utilize home offices for the first time. You will see us buying 48 - 96 more Keurig pods and stocking up on Cliff or Quest protein bars. Perhaps a dozen or two frozen Trader Joes easy-microwave meals..."
