8 Referral Marketing Statistics That Will Change How You Think About This Strategy
Most of us - as marketers and consumers ourselves - inherently understand the value of referrals
"As professionals, we've read the referral marketing statistics and have seen it work for companies large and small. In our personal lives, when we make a big purchase, we seek out reviews or ping our networks for recommendations.

While you may see referral marketing work for successful companies like Uber and Airbnb, it's understandable that you might question if it can be achieved by your brand. You might also be wondering if your unique audience would be interested, or engaged, in your referral program..."

Extending Your Marketing Reach With Partners
One of the biggest challenges facing companies is acquiring new customers/business
"Especially as companies grow, one way they may split their marketing department is into customer retention vs. customer acquisition teams. While the customer retention program focuses on keeping and growing the business from current customers, the acquisition side has the sometimes daunting task of going out and hunting for new business.

Depending on the industry and the company's business model, these efforts can lend themselves to a multitude of marketing channels or only a few..."

How To Make The Most Of Customer Experience Feedback
Acting on customer experience feedback gives you a competitive advantage
"No other enterprise has access to the information you can gather from your customers. No one else gets to have a personal conversation with the very people your product is designed to serve.

When you listen to what your customers tell you and incorporate their feedback, you encourage loyalty in your existing customers and create a customer experience that will attract others to your product..."

Social Media, The Marketing Trifecta, And A Pyramid Schema (It's Really A Sales Funnel)
The other day, I was out having an evening meeting with a client/friend. We were supposed to go golfing, but it was a little cold in the morning around this time of year
"So anyway, we're eatin' and meetin' at this place called Egg Harbor in Geneva, Illinois, which is not very close to my house. But low and behold, we're deep in conversation, and the next thing you know, my neighbors walk up and say 'Dude! What are you doing here?'

We stopped and got up to take a selfie, which I later posted on social media..."

6 Experts Weigh In On What You Should Look For When Hiring ABMers
Investing in your ABM team is an exciting initiative. You're on the hunt for experienced marketers with a passion for growth and a penchant for problem-solving
"Account-based marketing is a team effort - it won't work unless you have the right people in the right places working together to achieve ABM success.

Finding top talent for a growing ABM team might feel like trying to find a needle in a haystack. You want the absolute best candidates - but they're not always easy to find!..."

The Most Important Thing A Proposal Needs To Sell
When your salespeople submit a proposal, it should always represent the natural culmination of a series of value creating conversations with their potential customer
"The contents should not come as a surprise. The recommendations should reflect an already established set of agreements with the key stakeholders. So why are so many sales proposals so ineffective?

One of the obvious reasons is that they were submitted as a blind response to an unexpected RFP and did not actually reflect any meaningful dialogue with the prospect..."

The Number One Reason Customers Churn And What You Can Do About It
It's easy to think that the reasons for churn are out of your control: maybe the customer got a better offer from a competitor or maybe your product just wasn't the right fit
"Surprisingly, this is far from the truth.

'Your customers are almost five times more likely to stop buying from you because they feel you're indifferent to them, than because they are unhappy with your product.'

Research shows that 68% of consumers stop buying from a company because of perceived indifference - a lack of caring expressed by a company through their representatives and employees. Sure, some stop buying because of price, product or personal reasons - but apparently the majority leave because of bad customer service..."

A New Business Model With Help From CRM
"capitalism as we know it is dead" - Marc Benioff
"I have been writing about Salesforce for 20 years. That's incredible for me because aside from marriage, there's nothing in my life I've done so consistently for so long. Perhaps like a marriage, the thing that's been attractive about Salesforce is its constantly changing nature.

The company went through a more or less typical adolescence for a startup but beyond that it always had a sense of mission that it was changing the world..."

How To Amplify The Impact Of Your CRM
85 percent of buyers say that they will dismiss a seller in the first interaction if they don't receive tailored information - Forrester research
"In today's automated world, self-service has allowed customers to become increasingly independent. In fact, according to research from Forrester, B2B buyers want to self-educate rather than engage with a sales representative by a factor of nearly three to one. Meanwhile, seven in 10 indicate that buying products and services for work from a website is more convenient than buying from a sales rep. As if that weren't enough, Gartner predicts that customers will manage as much as 85 percent of their business relationships without any human interaction by 2020..."

Trust And The Feedback Formula
GIVING FEEDBACK REQUIRES TRUST. NO TRUST. NO FEEDBACK - Shari Harley
"More about feedback. We've established that feedback is not only important but that it's critical for individual and organizational success. Giving feedback and being heard is not easy, but if your relationship includes trust, the feedback process becomes less stressful and more meaningful..."

Discover Your Strengths Workshop with Kelly Merbler
Lynn University - Boca Raton

This workshop discusses issues relating to career management and development, targeting in particular career-pathing options, career crisis and transitions, career decision-making processes, and what would bring you the most fulfillment in a career to target.

Right out of college I started my first job and spent 21 years there. I thought I had secured my career path and that was where I was going to stay. As my career responsibilities grew I wasn't as fired up as I was earlier in my career and I began to not enjoy my work any longer. Little did I know that I was actually experiencing disengagement because the higher up the career ladder I got, the farther away I got from my natural strengths.

I didn't understand why I was feeling this "funk" in this part of my career until I took the Clifton StrengthsFinder profile and worked with a coach to become more self aware of what I did best and what were my true weakness areas.

I wanted to create a meaningful workshop that I could add value to other professionals who were either in the same "career funk" as I was or who were in job transition and needed to be able to figure out what they were truly good at and would also energize them in their next role.

4 Ways To Adapt To Change
Getting people to engage in ideas and conversation is one of the best ways to accomplish change
"I was at a governmental affairs meeting in West Palm Beach. The discussion was about changes in the city; transportation, creating local city clusters, more biking opportunities etc.

Some of the people that were at the meeting were part of the original committee that were tasked with putting this together therefore were all behind the ideas brought forth. Others were hearing some of these ideas for the first time and frankly most were 'poo-pooing' them..."

Are We Are Losing 'Just The Two Of Us'?
I would really like to pose this as a question, 'Are we losing the two of us' in society?
At home, at work, at our children's school, with our aging parents, in neighborhood playgrounds, at our local coffee shop?. But I do not believe any of us need to pose this as a question anymore, we see it and we have fallen prey to it ourselves (unless we chose to live off the grid or are painstaking in our daily routines and rituals). We know we are not there or fully with those we want or need to spend time with personally and professionally and it is harming us.
