One powerful yet often overlooked element that can elevate your game is a well-crafted and professional email signature. Fixing Email Security: It's Still A Rocky Road Ahead
The foundational protocols for making email more secure and less of a threat have been in place for almost a decade, yet they remain mostly unused, poorly implemented and largely ineffective.

A recent report from Sendlayer shows just how much of a problem that is.
We all know that email is terribly insecure. If we get distracted, we can easily click on a piece of malware or get connected to a phishing site that will steal our credentials.
All it takes is a single user to be convinced that a malevolent missive is legitimate. And that single misplaced message can cause a world of hurt, beginning with a ransomware attack, or heaps of money transferred to a criminal's bank account, or an upload of private documents across Wikileaks and the dark web.

CMOs Blame Lack Of Budget As Limiting Ability To Executive Strategy
A Gartner survey of 410 CMOs and marketing leaders noted that 71% blame a lack of the budget to fully execute their strategy in 2023.

The survey revealed that marketing budgets compose 9.1% of total company revenue in 2023, remaining relatively flat but still dipping slightly from the 9.5% reported in 2022 (see Figure 1).
'Suppressed budgets, increasing costs and lower productivity are squeezing CMOs' spending power,' said Ewan McIntyre, chief of research and VP Analyst in the Gartner Marketing practice. 'As volatility becomes the new normal, many CMOs are pricing disruption into their 2023 plans.'

Six Ways That B2B CMOs Can Make Customer Obsession Real
Most B2B CMOs agree with the idea of putting customers at the center of their leadership, strategy, and operations - which we at Forrester define as customer obsession.

But no matter how customer-focused you are, there's often a deep-rooted tendency to think about the product or market category first and the customer second (evidenced in common questions such as Who will buy our product? or Who will this market category attract?).
That's not so strange - companies exist because they sell things, after all. But at a time when buyers are harder than ever to please, organizations need to take an outside-in - or customer-driven - approach to succeed.

Have Enterprise Buyers Finally Soured On 'Bottoms-Up' Tech Sales?
The last decade saw many tech companies embracing product-led growth (PLG) and bottoms-up sales strategies, as opposed to traditional enterprise sales, to drive their go-to-market strategies and overall growth.

Many software startups loved (and still love!) the bottoms-up approach. What's not to like about designing a software product to 'sell itself' through viral adoption and word-of-mouth marketing? Bottoms-up and PLG both promise a faster sales cycle at a much lower cost - no more golf and pricey steak dinners on the expense account.

SDR To AE: The 90-Day Guide I Wish I'd Had
'What does a BDR do, anyway?' my mom asked me. I'd just gotten a job at a company that deals with AI solutions, and I would have to relocate.

'I think it's something like customer success - but I guess before they become customers? I'm not sure, Mom. I'll figure it out,' I told her.
So. If I were to look back at my journey and how far I have come from - the 'What does a BDR do?' to being an account executive who's closed more than 70 logos - I would say I have grown quite a lot professionally. There's one major moment in my career graph I cherish: the transition from being an outbound SDR to an inbound AE.
